The term.LIGHT YEARS AHEAD does not mean a distant point in the future. The definition of light year in physics is the distance light can travel in one year. So it is a measure of distance rather than time. Therefore LIGHT YEARS AHEAD refers to one thing being more developed than the thing you are comparing it to, such as the smartphones of today being light years ahead of the phones in the early 2000s. They are much more advanced. Will change rating if term is fixed.

Hi Andrew, Thank you for taking out time to review the app. The way I see it is, every idiom has a literal meaning and a idiomatic meaning. So the usage mentioned in the app is one of the ways you can use the idiom. However, the example you gave is also correct, I'll add it in the next update. Have a nice day! Cheers! A must-have app for writers and poets. As a writing hobbyist, I enjoy using Idioms, proverbs and phrases in real life. This app introduced me new idioms and phrases every day. I love using it as a widget on my screen though the widget is slightly dim in colour. This app also quizzes you about your knowledge of Idioms and phrases and you can make custom phrases as well. Though, knowing the origins can be useful and other languages should be added. Anyways, good app and please try to use feedback.

We need an option to search not only idioms but also their meanings too. Content-Based search is what we need. For example, if we search 'powerful class' then we should get 'The uppet crust' as one of the results.
