About this app

Free Satellite Finder from Satbeams

Quickly find Geostationary satellites above you with our Augmented Reality tool.
Application requires GPS, Compass and Accelerometer censors to work properly!

1. Start typing the satellite name or orbital location in the search field
2. Pick the required satellite from the drop down list
3. Point the camera up in the sky to locate the required satellite

Look angle calculation is done automatically basing on current GPS location:
- true and magnetic azimuth
- elevation
- Lnb tilt (skew)

Press the update button (upper right corner) to download the new satellite list.

* Please note that some older smart phones will take a few seconds to turn on the camera once pointed up.

Tried it and all it wants is to access my files. Have to hold it up to the sky, but I can't read the information at that angle and cannot select a satellite. Move it to a viewable angle and all information disappears. I'm at sea wanting to know which satellites would be worthy looking up for FTA, but this is worse that going to Satbeam website and randomly picking one.

Galaxy J3 device has no built-in compass which is required for the app. That is why it is not working correctly. I suggest you check the app hardware requirements before posting negative response for the app.

What’s new

Fixed some issues with the orbit data updates.
