With this update, the NDR Radio app is moving to the ARD audio library. The change brings you a variety of content expansions, as all other ARD radio stations and podcasts are also available in the ARD audio library. The ARD audio library also offers many technical advantages, such as compatibility with Apple Carplay and smart speakers.

Unfortunately, the move cannot take place automatically and therefore requires your assistance. Please install the ARD audio library to continue listening to all NDR radio programs and podcasts.

The NDR radio programs from a single source: live streams, podcasts, news, weather and traffic.

With the NDR Radio App you can listen to the following programs:

- NDR Culture
- NDR info
- NDR 1 Lower Saxony
- NDR 1 Wave North
- NDR 1 Radio MV
- NDR 90.3
and the exclusive digital programs:
- NDR Schlager
- NDR Info Special
- NDR Blue

The most important functions of the NDR Radio app at a glance:

- Title displays and program information: In the dynamic player display of the NDR Radio app, the presenters, studio guests and, during the music, the CD cover with title information are always displayed to match the program.

- Program information and track search: Details about the program are displayed under the “Program” button and all songs played are displayed under the “Track list” button.

- News: Click on the “News” button and the current news issue will be played. Always know what's going on in the world via the "News" in the menu. Here you can find the NDR Info news to read and listen to.

- Traffic reports: You can find out about the current traffic situation in northern Germany using “Traffic” in the menu.

- Report a traffic jam: The "I'm in a traffic jam" button in the traffic report overview makes it possible to report a traffic jam to the NDR traffic studio yourself.

- Podcast and audio library: All podcasts from the NDR radio programs can be accessed in the menu under “Podcasts” and the corresponding offer from the ARD radio programs can be accessed under the “ARD audio library” link.

- Regional information: The desired regional characteristics can be selected in the settings in order to get the appropriate weather report etc. from the program.

An internet connection is required. To avoid high costs from the telecommunications provider, a data flat rate or using the app on WiFi is recommended.
