~ Bus Stop Project's past activities ~

One of the student projects of Kanazawa Institute of Technology, "Bus Stop Project," has developed a "Bus Doko System" that shows the current location of the community bus "Notti" in Nonoichi City, and in May 2018 with the cooperation of Nonoichi City. We have been conducting demonstration experiments since the 1st.

In 2021, the "Bus Doko System" will be applied to the shuttle bus "Nonkey" operated by Nonoichi Bus Co., Ltd. on June 25, 2021 with the cooperation of Nonoichi City. Expanded the scope of the experiment.

In addition, as the second stage, based on the request of Nonoichi citizens, the locations of major facilities (hospitals, libraries, city halls, high schools, universities) are displayed, and the screen is updated so that the positional relationship with the nearest bus stop can be seen at a glance. Did. At that time, the location of polling stations for national and local elections can also be displayed from October 25, 2021. (Web only)

A GPS device is installed in a vehicle of "Notty" or "Nonkey", and the location information sent to the server via LoRa * or 3G line is displayed on the Web application. Terminals such as smartphones, tablets, and PCs. You can check the current position of the bus in real time.

* LoRa: One of the wireless communication methods used in communication networks for the IoT (Internet of Things). The "Bus Doko System" uses the International College of Technology's original LoRa technology (patent pending) to communicate between bus stops.
