AUH One Team

The AUH One Team App helps the airport employees to work in a secure environment with increased productivity by navigating to both the passenger and non-passenger area of the terminal swiftly. The purpose of the app is to make the airport staff and contributors become familiar with the new airport layout, enhance the new airport operational readiness by improving the location awareness, and faster ramp-up of new joiners. The basic features in this version include the authentication of the airport staff and airport’s contributors (non-staff), static navigation from the selected origin to the destination point of interests (POI) and blue dot navigation from the current location to the destination POI. The airport staff and airport’s contributors can login with their corporate email id belonging to a whitelisted domain and an OTP is sent to the registered email id. If OTP validation is successful, the user is directed to the explore page. The validity of the login session is determined by the default expiration period of the JWT token after that user has to login again. The explore page offers a detailed view of the terminal floor map with passenger and non-passenger areas displayed, with the point of interests marked based on the priority and zoom level, with options to toggle floor, list POI categories, search for POI & category, view search history, filter POI with category and sub-category, list POI, and view POI details. When the user having location, blue tooth and notification permission enabled and currently located within the terminal, they can view their current location on the map, re-centre current location, and find their way within the terminal building on passenger & non-passenger areas, including indoor and outdoor POI by using a real-time navigation function - Blue Dot (BD) map navigation. Fastest route (escalator) to the destination is displayed by default. If there is an alternate route available (elevator) toggle to alternate route option is enabled. The blue dot navigation provides route, turn-by-turn instructions, real-time distance, duration to the desired destination and notify on reaching the destination. The route is also adapted in real-time to avoid obstacles and temporarily closed areas (as defined in the wayfinding administration panel). When user deviates from the suggested route, the device vibrates to advise that there is a deviation observed on the suggested route and the navigation instructions, navigation path, distance and duration are updated in real-time. When the user does not grant the permissions or located outside the airport terminal, the map will display the default floor as configured in the wayfinding administration panel and a static map is displayed from the selected origin to destination POI.
